Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy took to social media to criticize Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James after the NBA veteran was seen sipping wine during a game. Portnoy posted that James "has no impulse control" and suggested the four-time champion is "screaming out for help" following the courtside moment.
The incident occurred during a Lakers game where cameras caught James drinking what appeared to be wine while sitting on the bench. Portnoy, known for his provocative commentary, used the moment to question James's behavior and decision-making.
James, 41, is in his 22nd NBA season and has frequently been spotted enjoying wine courtside at games throughout his career. The Lakers forward has previously spoken about his appreciation for wine as part of his lifestyle and recovery routine.
Portnoy's comments sparked debate across social media platforms, with some supporting his criticism while others defended James's right to enjoy a beverage during downtime at games he participates in.
