Cristiano Ronaldo has announced the end of his international career with Portugal, according to reports on Thursday. The Portuguese Football Federation is planning a tribute to honor the record-breaking forward's contributions to the national team.
The news comes after Portugal's 2026 FIFA World Cup Group K match against DR Congo at Houston Stadium, where Ronaldo featured in what appears to have been his final appearance for his country.
Ronaldo, who made his Portugal debut in 2003, finishes as the all-time leading scorer in men's international football. The federation has not yet disclosed details of the planned tribute.
