As the NFL's November 10 trade deadline nears, Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry has emerged as a potential trade candidate. Henry, 32, is in his 11th season and third with the Ravens. Through eight games he has rushed for 632 yards and eight touchdowns on a league-high 158 carries, averaging 4.0 yards per carry, nearly a yard below his career average.
After a strong start with 144 yards and three touchdowns in the opener and eight touchdowns in the first five games, Henry's production has declined, averaging 52 rushing yards over the past three games with only one touchdown in the last month.
The Ravens sit at 4-4 after three straight losses, dropping to last in the AFC North. Starting quarterback Lamar Jackson (right thumb) may miss the rest of the season, and backup Tyler Huntley (turf toe) is out. Baltimore traded for Jacoby Brissett, who was recently demoted in Arizona, but the team has been outscored 71-23 in its last two games. The offensive line and red-zone defense have also struggled.
Given the team's dim playoff prospects, moving Henry could yield a valuable return. His name alone could command a second-round pick, and contenders like the New York Giants or Minnesota Vikings may be interested. A bidding war could even push the price higher.
Henry, a future Hall of Famer, ranks third all-time in rushing touchdowns and is approaching seventh in career rushing yards. He recorded 1,921 yards in 2024, the most ever for a player over 30. Trading him now would give the 32-year-old a chance to compete for a Super Bowl before his window closes.
