UConn men's basketball freshman Braylon Mullins is taking pride in his defensive contributions for the Huskies, according to a report from the Norwich Bulletin. The young guard has reportedly made defense a point of emphasis early in his collegiate career with the defending national champions.
Mullins, a highly touted recruit, has reportedly embraced the challenge of earning playing time through his work on the defensive end of the floor. The Huskies, coming off their sixth national championship, have a tradition of developing elite perimeter defenders under coach Dan Hurley.
The Norwich Bulletin's Nathan Canilao reported on November 5, 2026, that Mullins has shown a willingness to buy into UConn's defensive-first culture, which has been a hallmark of the program's recent success.
