Everton manager David Moyes has confirmed that Jack Grealish will remain unavailable for the club's Premier League match against Coventry on Friday.

The 31-year-old on-loan Manchester City midfielder has missed Everton's last two fixtures against Newcastle in the Premier League and Carabao Cup following what the club described as a "breach of club discipline."

Speaking on Thursday, Moyes said: "No, Jack is not available. I wouldn't give you the plan but we will be working with Jack again soon."

The issue is understood to stem from an unauthorised absence from training. While the club initially cited a lack of fitness for Grealish's absence on Monday, Moyes declined to elaborate at the time.

Asked whether the upcoming international break could provide an opportunity to resolve the situation, Moyes added: "We just need to wait and see how things go."

Grealish, who joined Everton on a second loan spell this season, is attempting to revive his career after falling out of favour at Manchester City despite his £100 million transfer in 2021. He played a key role in City's 2022-23 treble-winning campaign.

The midfielder scored twice in 22 appearances during his first loan spell last season, which was cut short by injury. In his current spell, he has made only six appearances before this latest setback. Grealish's contract with Manchester City expires at the end of the season.
