Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman dismissed the significance of the first College Football Playoff committee ranking of the season, stating that the evaluation does not alter the team's weekly preparation.
Freeman made the comments following the Fighting Irish's victory over Navy at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, on October 31, 2026, reinforcing that the program's focus remains on the next opponent.
