No. 12 Ohio State will host No. 23 Oregon at Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday, Nov. 7 at 3:30 p.m. ET, with the game televised on CBS and streamed on CBSSports.com, the CBS Sports App, and Paramount+ Premium.
Both teams enter the contest looking to stabilize their seasons after early playoff hopes faded. Oregon (5-3) saw its College Football Playoff dreams end but found offensive rhythm last week against Northwestern following the firing of offensive coordinator Drew Mehringer and the promotion of interim coordinator Jay Johnson. Freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola delivered his best start of the season in that victory, giving the Ducks confidence they can win on the road.
Ohio State (6-1) suffered a 30-18 loss at USC last week, dropping to No. 12 in the first CFP rankings — the first team outside the 12-team playoff field. Backup quarterback Luke Fahey will make his second start and first at home, aiming to solve red-zone struggles that have plagued the Buckeyes. Ohio State managed only 13 points on four red-zone trips against USC and similarly struggled against Indiana.
Defensively, Ohio State has forced just four interceptions (94th nationally) and 11 total turnovers (48th), while Oregon has nine interceptions (13th nationally). Raiola has a history of turnovers, presenting opportunities for the Buckeyes, while Fahey's inexperience could be tested by Oregon's ball-hawking secondary.
Analysts project a high-scoring affair, with the consensus pick being OVER 46.5 points. Most experts lean toward Ohio State covering the 7.5-point spread, though Oregon is favored to win outright by some.
