Former two-time UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya says he is feeling his best in a long time as he prepares for UFC Fight Night 295. The Nigerian-born New Zealander, speaking to MMA Weekly, indicated his physical and mental condition has improved significantly heading into the event scheduled for November 6, 2026.
Adesanya, 37, has not competed since his loss to Dricus du Plessis at UFC 305 in August 2024. The extended layoff appears to have allowed the former champion to address lingering injuries and refresh his approach. Jeff Cain of MMA Weekly reported Adesanya's comments on Friday, noting the fighter's renewed confidence ahead of his return to the octagon.
UFC Fight Night 295 will mark Adesanya's first appearance in a non-main-event slot since 2018. The promotion has not yet announced his opponent for the card. Adesanya holds a professional record of 24 wins and 3 losses, with 15 victories by knockout.
