Washington Capitals prospect Ivan Miroshnichenko remains without a contract timetable, according to his agent. The Russian forward, selected by Washington in the 2022 NHL Draft, has yet to agree to terms on an entry-level deal as the 2026-27 season progresses.
The agent confirmed Friday that there is no current timeline for finalizing an agreement between Miroshnichenko and the Capitals organization. The 20-year-old winger has been developing in the KHL with Avangard Omsk, where he posted 15 goals and 28 points in 58 games last season.
Capitals management has expressed interest in bringing the skilled forward to North America, but contract negotiations have not advanced to a concrete stage. Miroshnichenko's current KHL contract runs through the 2026-27 campaign, adding complexity to any potential transition.
