The New York Yankees believe they hold a significant advantage in their efforts to bring pitcher David Bednar back to the organization, according to a report published Friday.
Bednar, wearing number 53, appeared for the Yankees in Game 3 of the American League Division Series against the Tampa Bay Rays at Yankee Stadium on October 7, 2026, pitching the eighth inning in the Bronx.
The report, authored by Joey Haverford for Heavy, suggests the Yankees are confident in their position regarding Bednar's future with the team following his postseason appearance.
