The Colorado Rockies have returned right-handed pitcher RJ Petit to the Detroit Tigers, according to a report from SB Nation's Skyler Timmins. The transaction took place during spring training, with Petit photographed at Salt River Fields in Scottsdale, Arizona, on February 12, 2026.
Petit, who wears number 58, was seen playing catch during a workout at the Rockies' spring training facility. The move suggests the Tigers have reclaimed the pitcher after he was with the Rockies organization.
