Baltimore Orioles relief pitcher Ryan Helsley, a former All-Star closer, has opted into his contract with the club, according to a report Thursday.
The decision keeps Helsley with the Orioles for the upcoming season. The right-hander has been a key piece of Baltimore's bullpen since joining the organization.
Helsley earned All-Star honors during his career and brings veteran presence to the Orioles' relief corps. The contract option was exercised ahead of the 2026-27 offseason.
