Minnesota Wild defenseman Brock Faber has cleared the league's injury protocol and is set to rejoin the team, while captain Jared Spurgeon will remain out longer than expected due to injury.
The updates were announced on Thursday, with Faber's return providing a boost to the Wild's defensive corps. Spurgeon's extended absence means the team will continue without its veteran leader on the blue line.
