Detroit Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin has reportedly reached a breaking point amid ongoing trade rumors, according to NHL insider reports. The 28-year-old center, who has spent his entire nine-season career with Detroit, is said to be unwilling to play while his future with the franchise remains uncertain.
Larkin, drafted 15th overall by the Red Wings in 2014, has served as team captain since 2021. He recorded 69 points in 68 games last season, maintaining his status as the franchise's cornerstone player. The reported standoff comes as Detroit continues its rebuilding efforts under general manager Steve Yzerman.
