Kansas City Chiefs general manager Brett Veach may explore a package trade with the Indianapolis Colts to address both offensive tackle and wide receiver needs, according to a report from Yahoo Sports. The potential deal would target Josh Simmons, an offensive line prospect, while also solving the Chiefs' receiver depth concerns.
The Chiefs have been active in roster construction under Veach, who was photographed greeting fans before a 2017 game against the Dallas Cowboys. Any trade with Indianapolis would continue Kansas City's aggressive approach to building around quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
No specific trade parameters or player compensation details were disclosed in the initial report. The Colts' willingness to engage in such a package deal remains unclear as both teams evaluate their roster needs heading toward the 2026 season.
