The University Interscholastic League (UIL) football state championships will be broadcast by Nexstar Media Group and Mission Broadcasting, the organizations announced. The agreement brings the Texas high school football title games to a wider television audience across the state.
The championships, traditionally held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, have featured dramatic finals such as the Class 5A Division I game on December 19, 2025, where Smithson Valley defeated Frisco Lone Star 28-6. Linebacker Colton Hornsby celebrated with the trophy after the victory.
