Former Nashville Predators head coach Barry Trotz expressed humility upon being selected for induction into the franchise's Golden Hall. The honor recognizes Trotz's foundational role with the organization, where he served as the team's first head coach from 1998 to 2014.

Trotz guided the Predators through their inaugural NHL season and led the franchise to its first playoff appearance in 2004. Over 16 seasons behind the bench in Nashville, he compiled a 557-479-60-52 record, establishing the cultural identity of hockey in Music City.

The induction ceremony is scheduled for later this season at Bridgestone Arena. Trotz, who later won a Stanley Cup with the Washington Capitals in 2018, joins an exclusive group of individuals honored for their lasting impact on the Predators organization.
