Detroit Lions safety Kerby Joseph has "done a good job" in his return to practice, according to a report from The Detroit News. The third-year defensive back participated in team drills on Friday, marking his first on-field work since sustaining an injury earlier in the season.
Head coach Dan Campbell and the Lions' medical staff have been monitoring Joseph's progress closely. His return to practice is a positive sign for a Detroit secondary that has missed his playmaking ability and versatility in coverage.
Joseph, a 2022 third-round pick out of Illinois, emerged as a starter last season and recorded four interceptions. The Lions (5-2) are preparing for their Week 9 matchup and hope to have Joseph available as they push for an NFC North title.
