Manchester United's shortage of striker options is putting manager Michael Carrick under increasing pressure, with reports suggesting his position could be at risk if the team's attacking struggles persist.
The issue was highlighted during the Carabao Cup third-round tie against Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford on September 16, 2026, where summer signing Benjamin Sesko featured but the team's lack of depth up front remained evident.
According to Yahoo Sports contributor Graham Ruthven, the club's failure to adequately reinforce the striking department during the transfer window has left Carrick with limited alternatives, potentially jeopardizing his tenure.
