Michigan State Spartans prepare to face the North Dakota Fighting Hawks in a college hockey contest at Munn Ice Arena in East Lansing, Michigan. The game thread preview indicates a matchup between two established NCAA Division I programs.
A photo from October 9, 2026 shows Michigan State goaltender Joshua Ravensbergen, wearing number 31, making a save during a previous game against Northern Michigan at the same venue. The Spartans play their home games at Munn Ice Arena, which has been their home rink since 1974.
North Dakota, known as the Fighting Hawks, brings a storied hockey tradition with multiple national championships to the matchup. Both programs compete in the Big Ten and NCHC conferences respectively, making this a non-conference clash between traditional hockey powers.
