NHL trade rumors are circulating around Tampa Bay Lightning star Nikita Kucherov, with reports suggesting the right winger will not re-sign with the franchise and has requested a trade. The speculation originates from a LastWordOnSports article published on October 30, 2026, authored by Tommy Bennett and Marcus Yu.
Kucherov, a key offensive contributor for the Lightning, has been with the organization since being drafted in 2011. The rumor emerges as the team navigates salary cap considerations and long-term roster planning. A referenced game from March 14, 2024, shows Kucherov scoring against the New York Rangers at Amalie Arena, highlighting his continued on-ice impact.
Neither the Lightning organization nor Kucherov's representatives have officially commented on the trade request. The situation bears monitoring as the NHL season progresses and contract negotiations potentially intensify.
