Megan Rapinoe, the former U.S. women's national soccer team star, has sharply criticized former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom and former NBA player Royce White, describing their recent activities as "grifting" and suggesting they have "nothing better to do." Rapinoe's comments, made on social media, highlight ongoing tensions between athletes who use their platforms for political and social commentary.
The exchange underscores the broader debate over athlete activism and the ways former professionals engage in public discourse after their playing careers.
