Barcelona are reportedly keeping tabs on Ajax left-back Youri Baas as the Catalan club continues its search for defensive reinforcements. The 21-year-old Dutch defender has been a regular for Ajax in the Eredivisie this season, featuring in their match against AZ Alkmaar at the Johan Cruijff Arena on October 31.
According to reports from Barca Blaugranes, the La Liga giants view Baas as a potential option to bolster their backline. The Netherlands youth international has progressed through Ajax's academy and established himself in the first team, offering both defensive solidity and attacking contribution from the left flank.
Barcelona's interest comes as they assess options to strengthen their squad depth in defensive positions. Baas's contract situation and development trajectory at Ajax make him a player of interest for several top European clubs.
