A postbox in the village of Marown on the Isle of Man has been painted gold to celebrate the achievements of Manx cyclist Matthew Bostock. The tribute follows the tradition of Royal Mail painting postboxes gold in the hometowns of British Olympic and Paralympic champions.
Bostock, who represents the Isle of Man in international competition, has earned recognition for his performances on the track and road. The gold postbox serves as a permanent landmark acknowledging his contribution to Manx sport.
The honor was reported by BBC Isle of Man correspondent Chanelle Sukhoo on November 4, 2026. Royal Mail has previously installed gold postboxes across the British Isles to commemorate gold medal successes at major championships.
