The Texas Longhorns have yet to allow a 100-yard rusher this season, but their streak will be tested against a 1,000-yard running back in Jamal Roberts.
Through the first half of the 2026 campaign, Texas' run defense has been stingy, with linebackers like Brad Spence making key stops. In a September 12 game against Ohio State at Royal-Memorial Stadium, Spence was seen attempting to tackle Buckeyes running back Bo Jackson.
Now the Longhorns prepare for a different challenge: a running back who has already surpassed 1,000 yards on the ground. Roberts' production presents a significant test for a Texas defense that prides itself on limiting big plays on the ground.
