Truro City forward Ben Starkie has expressed his excitement after earning a recall to the Tanzania national team. The 24-year-old striker, who joined the Cornish club this season, said he is "buzzing" at the prospect of representing his country again.
Starkie marked his return to form last month by scoring his first league goal for Truro City in a thrilling 4-3 victory away at Hampton and Richmond Borough. That performance appears to have caught the attention of Tanzania's selectors, who have included him in their latest squad.
The former Everton youth player has previously represented Tanzania at senior level, and his recall comes as a reward for his recent club form. Starkie will now link up with the Taifa Stars for their upcoming international fixtures.
