Kansas City Royals infielder Bobby Witt Jr., catcher Carter Jensen, and first baseman Jack Caglianone have been named finalists for the 2026 Silver Slugger Award, recognizing the best offensive players at each position in Major League Baseball.
The announcement comes after a season where all three players contributed significantly to the Royals' lineup. Witt Jr., wearing number 7, has established himself as one of the game's premier shortstops. Jensen, number 22, and Caglianone, number 14, represent the next generation of Kansas City talent behind the plate and at first base respectively.
The Silver Slugger Award, voted on by MLB managers and coaches, honors the top offensive performer at each position in both the American and National Leagues. Winners are typically announced in November following the conclusion of the World Series.
