Formula 1 prospect Rafael Camara could forgo the remainder of his Formula 2 campaign to join Haas for the 2026 season, according to reports emerging on Wednesday.
The Brazilian driver, who currently competes in the F2 championship, has been linked with a potential early promotion to the American-owned Haas team as they prepare for the significant regulatory changes coming in 2026.
Camara, a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy, has shown strong pace in his rookie F2 season. A move to Haas would align with Ferrari's historical practice of placing academy drivers with customer teams for development.
Haas has not confirmed its 2026 driver lineup, with both Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen's contracts expiring at the end of the current season. The team is expected to announce its plans in the coming months as the 2026 technical regulations overhaul approaches.
