The USC Trojans prepare for a critical matchup against the Ohio State Buckeyes, with head coach Lincoln Riley's job security reportedly on the line. The game carries significant weight for Riley, who has faced mounting pressure after inconsistent results since arriving at USC. A victory over a top-tier opponent like Ohio State could provide a much-needed statement win for the program.
Riley, who previously coached at Oklahoma, was hired to restore USC to national prominence. The Trojans' move to the Big Ten Conference has intensified scrutiny, with games against traditional powers like Ohio State serving as benchmarks for progress. The outcome of this contest may influence administrative decisions regarding the coaching staff's future.
