Golden State Valkyries head coach Natalie Nakase dismissed the WNBA schedule as a factor in her team's Game 6 playoff loss to the Minnesota Lynx, calling such excuses "unacceptable."
The Valkyries fell to the Lynx on August 19, 2026, at Chase Center in San Francisco, ending their postseason run. Nakase emphasized accountability and focused on the team's performance rather than external factors.
The loss marked the conclusion of the Valkyries' inaugural playoff appearance. Nakase, in her first season as head coach, stressed the need for growth and learning from the experience.
