NASCAR Cup Series drivers Chris Buescher and Ryan Preece have struck a lighthearted wager ahead of the Daytona 500. The loser of the bet must run 500 laps around a roundabout, according to a report from Yahoo Sports.
The bet was revealed during qualifying for the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway on February 12, 2025. Both drivers, Buescher in the No. 17 car and Preece in the No. 60, were photographed together at the track.
Details of the bet's specific terms or what triggered the challenge were not disclosed, but the unusual penalty has drawn attention for its creativity.
