Spanish golfer Jon Rahm is reportedly not "thrilled" with the LIV Golf 2.0 format and is plotting a potential return to the PGA Tour, according to Golf Channel. The two-time major champion joined LIV Golf in December 2023 in a deal reported to be worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
Rahm's potential departure would represent a significant shift in the ongoing rivalry between the Saudi-backed LIV Golf circuit and the established PGA Tour. The 2023 Masters champion has struggled to find consistent form on the LIV circuit, with his best finish being a tie for third at LIV Golf Greenbrier in August 2024.
Any return to the PGA Tour would likely require negotiations regarding his suspension and potential penalties for joining the rival league. The PGA Tour's current policy bars LIV Golf players from competing in Tour events without a release.
