Speculation surrounding former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder has intensified as the boxing world awaits confirmation of a long-anticipated clash between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. Wilder, who holds a controversial draw and two losses against Fury, has been linked to potential step-aside agreements or undercard appearances that could position him for a future title opportunity.
The American knockout artist has remained relatively quiet since his October 2023 defeat to Joseph Parker, but his name continues to surface in negotiations involving the sport's two most prominent British heavyweights. Promoters and broadcasters are reportedly exploring multiple scenarios that would keep Wilder relevant in the division's championship picture while the Fury-Joshua bout moves toward finalization.
No official announcements have been made regarding Wilder's next fight or his contractual status with Premier Boxing Champions. The 38-year-old former WBC titleholder retains significant drawing power despite recent setbacks, making him a valuable asset in any heavyweight tournament or unification pathway.
