Arizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker continued his Halloween tradition by wearing a costume to practice on Friday, drawing viral attention as he fielded questions about his future with the team.
"I just live in the present," Baker said. "You know, look like today, having a great time with you guys, and gonna have a great Friday practice and just focus on playing against the Dallas Cowboys and trying to get a W at their stadium."
The 30-year-old is in his 10th season with the Cardinals, an eight-time Pro Bowler who has made the Pro Bowl each of the last seven years and a two-time All-Pro. Despite his franchise-player status, trade speculation has intensified as Arizona sits at 2-5 ahead of the NFL trade deadline on November 10 at 4 p.m. ET.
Baker reportedly requested a trade in 2023 before signing a long-term extension, and any deal would require a significant return for the Cardinals. For now, he remains on the roster and appeared unconcerned about his status during Friday's press conference.
