ProFootball Talk's Mike Florio reported Tuesday that Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray's hamstring injury could be serving as cover for a soft benching, according to a Yahoo Sports story published November 3, 2026.
The report suggests the team's handling of Murray's hamstring issue may not be entirely injury-related, raising questions about the quarterback's immediate future with the franchise. No further details on the specific nature of the injury or the team's official stance were provided in the initial report.
Murray, the former No. 1 overall pick and 2019 Offensive Rookie of the Year, has been the face of the Cardinals franchise since being drafted in 2019. Any potential benching would represent a significant development for both the player and organization.
