Archie Brown has described his path to the top of European football as "unorthodox" ahead of a Champions League meeting with Liverpool. The player, who previously featured for Derby County, is now set to face the Reds in the competition's group stage.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Brown reflected on a career that has taken him through lower-league English football before reaching the continental stage. The fixture, scheduled for November 2026, marks a significant milestone in his development.
BBC football reporter Aadam Patel detailed Brown's rise in a feature published on November 4, 2026, highlighting the unconventional route that has led to a high-profile European encounter.
