NASCAR Cup Series driver Denny Hamlin faces a near-impossible task to claim the championship as the 2026 playoffs reach their conclusion. With the season finale approaching, Hamlin acknowledges that only a miracle can secure the title, and he is ready for the campaign to end.
The Chase, NASCAR's playoff format, has left Hamlin mathematically alive but realistically out of contention. The veteran driver, a multiple-time race winner, has struggled to find the necessary speed in the final rounds.
Hamlin's team will aim to salvage a strong finish in the last race of the season on November 4, 2026, but the focus has already shifted to 2027 preparations.
