Charlotte Hornets forward Naz Reid was held out for the entire second half of the team's game against the Detroit Pistons on October 28, 2026, at Little Caesars Arena, despite no injury being announced. Reid, wearing number 0, had played in the first half before being benched for the remainder of the contest.
The Hornets have not provided a public explanation for the decision to keep Reid on the bench after halftime. The 24-year-old big man had been active in the opening two quarters, driving against Pistons defenders including Duncan Robinson.
Charlotte's coaching staff has not commented on whether the move was tactical, disciplinary, or related to an undisclosed physical issue. Reid's status for upcoming games remains unclear as the team continues its early-season schedule.
