Former India opener Gautam Gambhir has lauded middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer for his performances despite India suffering consecutive T20 International defeats against New Zealand.
The praise comes after India lost both matches in the series, with Gambhir highlighting Iyer's composure and technique under pressure.
Gambhir, who is currently serving as a mentor for the Indian team, described Iyer's efforts as a "phenomenal job" during a post-match analysis.
India will look to regroup ahead of the next fixtures, with the series defeat raising questions about the team's middle-order stability.
